Garden Plot

In 1989, this raised bed became a “heeling in” area for donated plants from the famous Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. Since then, it has served other purposes: as a seed-to-harvest experimental station so vegetables can be enjoyed by students or the Food Bank, as a community garden, as a student growing plot for flowers or a Pumpkin Patch for Halloween. In the summer, a large colourful floral logo is a welcome addition to this garden as well. Bat boxes are stationed here for study and for the purpose of minimizing the mosquito population in the park.
